LITERALLY, AM I IN THE TWILIGHT ZONE RIGHT NOW!?!?
Who else feels this way?
You may have your own way to describe this new way of life during this global pandemic; but it’s still the same.
Literally nothing is as it should be right now and it is really screw’n with me in a big kind of way.
I can’t do any of my normal stuff – I can’t see my friends. My kids can’t see their friends. And then I have
to hear about how miserable they are without hanging with their friends (teenagers in the house.) I can’t
go to the gym. I miss you Pure Barre. Can’t go out to eat. And having a really difficult time getting work
done.
I just today resigned myself to the idea that this will be the new “normal” for quite some time.
But, you know what I can do?
- I can take the dogs for a long walk without feeling guilty about needing to
get back home and get things done. Because, let’s face it – all we have is time right now. - I am getting closets cleaned out.
- I organized computer files and ran across some old ideas that were
forgotten about and gathering dust. - I have been cooking a lot more and I’ve dusted off a few old recipes I haven’t done in a while and even tried a couple of new dishes.
I have had my moments of feeling a little down and out, as I am sure you have as well. But, I have been trying really hard to focus on the positives. Instead of dwelling on what I can’t do during this crazy pandemic, I am trying to set my mind to all of the things that I would typically not even consider or think about doing if I wasn’t confined.
And you know what? It has been somewhat refreshing. Maybe when things go back to “normal” (whatever that means), I may just do a few things differently. What about you?
It feels strange and I feel out of place but good things are on the horizon.
I feel it and I know it.
I hope you do too.
In light of all that is going on in our world right now, it seems almost poetic that today, April 3rd, is Find a
Rainbow Day.
Rainbows are a sign of hope and promise.
I have so much hope in my heart today.
After the storm, and sometimes during the rain, we can catch a glimpse of that beautiful rainbow. That colorful arch of hope.
Look for your rainbow today.
It’s out there.
Just beyond this storm.
